Can you travel freely or are there still countries where you have to comply with mandatory quarantine? We know that it is not always easy to understand which sites are reliable or what kind of information you can trust. But breathe. Now you can easily find all the answers you need online, quickly and for free.
Wizz has done its homework and brought together three platforms that house the answers to your prayers. So, take a note (or print it out), because these platforms are the best friends of all those who want to set off across borders, while COVID-19 is still present in our day-to-day lives.

It is not an independent platform, being part of the Portuguese Communities Portal. In this case, you will have to navigate through the official website and select the option “Vai viajar?”. Then, all you have to do is scroll down to the “Advice for Travelers” option and you’ll come across what has been the platform of choice, since pre-pandemic times, of Portugal’ most famous couple of travelers, theExplorerssaurus.
As soon as you enter the page, you’ll find plenty of information you need both before you leave and upon arrival at your destination. Then, simply select the continent and respective country you want to travel to and you’ll be quickly directed to the information page. After that, all you have to do is navigate through the site and collect all the contacts and information you consider essential. From the Consulate General number to the climate or even the currency, for example.
This platform does not yet have a mobile application, regardless of operating system, but the official website is available for both desktop and mobile devices.
“It provides information on various measures in place, including quarantine and testing requirements for travelers, the EU Digital COVID certificate to help you exercise your right to free movement, and mobile applications for tracking and alerting contacts regarding coronavirus. The information is updated frequently and available in 24 languages”, reads the platform’s homepage.
With a quick scroll through the page, you’ll find an interactive map illustrating the positive cases per 100 thousand habitants in each country (or city) of the European Union. Then, just select your destination and you’ll find everything you need to know.

The truth is that the global situation is significantly more under control, but it remains unstable and so do the measures in place. As each country is constantly

According to the description, “in the event of an emergency (natural disaster, change in public order, accidents), the application allows you to be more easily located and contacted.
If the country you are in is affected by any of the situations mentioned above, you can be contacted, namely through the Portuguese consular posts, which, in coordination with the country’s local authorities, will provide useful information.
This Application allows you to receive useful information and advice about each country you wish to travel to. It is aimed at those who are traveling or traveling for a short period of time abroad. Registration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is voluntary, easy and free of charge”.
