It’s called BeReal and it promotes just that: reality. This is the social network of the moment that has already conquered more than 7 million users and that is prepared to face the giant Instagram, owned by Meta, the Facebook group.
BeReal is the app that promotes spontaneity and showing that to your friends. Without filters, worries about pose or counting likes and followers, it has captivated the younger ones, challenging them to be real.
The rule is simple: every day, at a random time, which users don’t know in advance when it will be, their cell phone rings and a notification appears. “It’s time to be real.” Forget filters, from then on you have two minutes to take a picture and share it with your friends.
Striving for authenticity, the BeReal app uses the front and rear camera so you can show exactly what you are doing. You can only do this once a day, and if you’re late, the platform will tell you how many hours or minutes the post was late.
You will also be able to react to your friends’ photos, but you will only be able to see them when you share your BeReal of the day. If you are confident, you can also share your photos with all users of the app.
