You can ride in a limousine (while eating pizza) through the sets of “Home Alone 2: Lost in New York” and even order 16 scoops of ice cream through room service. Since it’s all included in this new experience at The Plaza hotel.
You can now visit the iconic hotel from the movie “Home Alone 2: Lost in New York” and live the experience of Kevin McCallister (Macaulay Culkin) – without having to spend Christmas alone, aimlessly navigate the streets of New York or ask Donald Trump for directions. Yes, this happened, and if you didn’t realize it, that’s a sign you need to rewatch the movie. But let’s get down to business.
The famous hotel The Plaza is offering a package that lets you really live “Home Alone 2,” with all the perks required by little Kevin in this 90s movie. From (long) ice cream shots to pizza in the limo. And, yes, we will reveal how much it costs to sleep like Kevin at The Plaza hotel. But we’ll get to that in a moment.
Spoiler alert. Most likely, after you walk up the stairs into The Plaza, you’ll have the same reaction as Kevin and be slack-jawed admiring all the details in the lobby of this luxury hotel, which already boasts over 100 years of history. However, the real experience à la “Home Alone” only begins after check-in.
Check-in done, you can now start enjoying your experience package – and nothing better than a walk around the city to familiarize yourself with the streets of New York. For that, you can call your limousine (included in the program), which will take you to points in the city where some scenes from “Home Alone 2: Lost in New York” were filmed.
Such is the case with the Empire State Building, Rockefeller Center, Central Park, Carnegie Hall and Radio City Music Hall. And don’t forget to snack on cheese pizza between each visit, just like little Kevin would.
However, the gastronomic experience doesn’t stop there, if it weren’t for our protagonist, who is a self-confessed fan of sweets. For dessert, back in your luxurious hotel room, just a phone call away, room service will deliver 16 scoops of ice cream with whipped cream, M&M’s, brownie pieces, chocolate, caramel, and raspberry sauce – which you can (and should) eat in bed while watching TV, just like Kevin.
And how much does all this cost? A night starts at €1,565 (however, for this program, you must book at least three nights). Outside of the special program dedicated to the film, a night in this emblematic New York hotel costs from 972€ per night for two adults.
